How to choose laminate flooring
What the AC wear class means
AC3 suits homes: bedrooms, living rooms, studies. AC4 handles busier areas: hallways, kitchens, small offices. AC5 and AC6 are for commercial spaces: shops, restaurants, offices. For most Tashkent apartments AC4 is the sweet spot — cheaper than AC5 but it survives a hallway.
Thickness and sound
8 mm is the standard, most affordable option. 10–12 mm is quieter underfoot, hides an uneven subfloor better and feels more solid. If sound reaching the neighbours below matters, start at 10 mm.
Water resistance
For kitchens, hallways and areas near a bathroom, choose water-resistant laminate — a spill must not seep through the locking joints and swell the board. Standard laminate is fine for dry rooms.

Measure the room and add 5–10% for cutting waste (15% for a diagonal layout). Our calculator works out the pack count for you — pack coverage differs from model to model.
